  1. mbt shoes Of course, this is bullshit. The 鈥淕ood Old Days鈥? They sucked. I often get accused of sentimentality or nostalgia because I reference the past -- but this is not out of longing. It is about remembering, making notice of what was and was not there. Some years ago, I had a show of a different body of work at the Chicago Cultural Center. It was from a three-volume set of books I'd made about Chicago -- specifically, about the Chicago of my childhood. A critic from the Tribune dismissed the work as 鈥渟entimental,鈥?which could not have been further from the truth. In fact, some of the imagery was absolutely monstrous, remembering a city of thoughtless cruelty and punishing bigotry -- the city of Algren's perpetually rigged game. Still, this hand-job -- who wrote badly for theTribune for over 30 years and is now, thankfully for Chicago, unemployed -- made the cheap and easy assumption that my work was sentimental, all about nostalgia. When people tell me this is what they see in my work, I know they haven't really looked. One of the good things about the discourse of the internet is that it has forever shit-canned the self-appointed aristocracy of art critics. It made the conversation bigger, with more voices, more choices and more democracy. And the imbecile who wrote for the Tribune all those years? He got kicked to the curb; with the advent of the web, art critics are either good, or they don't survive. One notices that the great critics -- Smith, Schjeldahl, Saltz, Cotter, and my favorite, the one-man hurricane Charlie Finch -- had no job worries because of the 'net; mostly it was the bad ones that went up in flames, and it went that way for all of the other disciplines as well. The elite no longer holds sway: we all get to be part of this discourse. I know artists who foolishly long for the art world of the 鈥?0s -- that decade of greed, Reagan, social indifference, AIDS, and stupid hair -- merely because of the booming art market. These morons were the 鈥渂ig whispers鈥?of that ugly decade, the dwarves who were momentarily the tallest midgets in the circus. They never seem to get it. This thing is a marathon, not a sprint. I don't know if we can trust what we choose to remember -- it seems that the longer a relative or friend has been dead, the more saintly they become in the rear-view mirror of memory. I call it the 鈥淗igh-School Reunion鈥?version of remembering. My high-school teachers, with a few luminous exceptions, were mostly lazy, bumbling dolts, dullards, and douche-bags -- C-minus intellects who wanted nothing more than a job they only had to work eight months a year.

Of course through it we have positive flow, which neutralizes the negative flow. Try to think about the actions of photographers, amateurs, more precisely.

Alfred Morris jersey Copywriting is incredibly important. It's what brings you your sales - forget about your logo, your brand image, or how old your company is. It's what you have, and how you sell it that really matters. Most entrepreneurs or business owners FORGET this, and lose millions because of 5 simple mistakes they're making. Have a scan through them, and see whether YOU are making the same mistakes: 1.) Me, Me, Me. Is your copy talking about what you can give your prospects, or is it coming across as self-absorbed? Your copy should not be about the history of your company, how you started up, how hard it was for you to get to where you are, unless it's relevant to your copy. Copy should be about what you can give to your prospect; your customers only really care about what you can DO for THEM. 2.) Where are you GOING with this? What is your copy DOING? If it's not leading your prospects through a whirlwind of emotion and buying frenzy, it's useless. Your copy should be pulling your prospects through the pages, leading up to a final close, and getting them to buy whatever you're selling. The problem is, people forget this, and make their copy into a maze, and leave the prospect not knowing where they're going, until they end up at the end, where the copy's basically saying: "Alright, I'm done confusing you. Give me your money!" The prospect's response? Throwing your ad away, or leaving your website. Keep in mind at all times where your copy is going. 3.) Can you PLEASE stop talking? Copy should be direct; that means no fluff or airy talk that does anything but aid in selling your product or service. Don't have your copy full of useless descriptions of what you sold last month, or what you're planning to do in the future; your prospects only care about what you're selling NOW, and when you talk about anything but that, you're drawing them away from the whole point of your copy. Keep it plain and simple, and as short and sharp as humanly possible. 4.) How many English qualifications did you say you have? Your copy should not read like a Shakespearean play. It's meant to read very easily, enabling almost anyone to come along and read it, and then buy your product. If you're throwing in all kinds of fancy words, you're making at least some of your prospects struggle to read it and that means LESS SALES; and less sales means less money. Sure, it makes you sound intelligent and boosts your literary ego, but at the end of the day, what is your copy there for: to show off your writing capability, or to SELL your product or service? Exactly. 5.) So... what do you want from ME? You need to finish your copy off with a strong call to action. Even if all your copy is strong and emotive, if you have a weak call to action, no one's going to buy from you. You've got to make your call to action so strong that it'll practically force your prospects to buy from you. You have to make it so that it's going to be painful not to have this product or service you're offering! Don't give your prospects a second to re-consider; if they bookmark your website, or put your mail to one side, there's a large likelihood they'll forget about you. Don't give them that opportunity to forget; make them BUY, and buy NOW. If you're doing one or more of these things in your copy, then fix it and watch your profits soar! Or if you've got other things to do, hire a professional copywriter to do it for you. After all, it's our job to write incredible, high-converting copy.
