Monday through Friday, so the window of opportunity for trying the place is narrow.<br><br>I found the time to head over there on a recent Friday afternoon. Because I couldn't get there until almost closing time, I figured I'd take my haul home and divvy it up with my son for dinner. That would at least let me see how well things went after being in a togo box for a while.<br><br>The restaurant is relatively small, with an inviting dining area to the right of the front door, and a compact and convenient kitchen set up along the left wall. Diners order at the counter and pick up the food when their number is called.<br><br>Since gyros aren't served at many restaurants, and they're a favorite of ours,cheap uggs, I started by ordering the original version ($5.95) made with beef and lamb on pita bread with tomatoes,cheap ugg boots, onions and tzatziki sauce. Mama's also offers a chicken version for the same price, and if you want fries or onion rings with that,cheap uggs, it'll be an extra $1.95.<br><br>The meat was tender and plentiful, and the pita soft and pliable. The signature tzatziki sauce is thick and the intense cucumber flavor complemented the meat perfectly. The tomato and onion were a bit sparse, but they're not the real stars of the dish anyway. The finished sandwich was wrapped in a heavy paper wrapper inside the togo box,ugg outlet, and it traveled andreheated just fine.<br><br>Continuing with the Greek theme, I chose Chicken Souvlaki ($6.50), which features chunks of flavorful grilled chicken on a long wooden skewer, and also comes with pita bread, onion, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce.<br><br>The chicken was tender and firm,ugg boots outlet, and the serving was substantial. It traveled well as the chef anchored the ends ofthe skewer in the foam container, but the heat caused moisture in the container, which in turn made the pita a bit soggy by the time I had it for dinner later. The microwave revived it a bit though,cheap ugg boots, so overall it was delicious. The restaurant also sells versions with shrimp and a combination of pork and lamb.<br><br>I plan to get back there eventually, and hope to try the Homemade Greek Sausage dinner ($6.50), which is served with two slices of Swiss cheese on French bread. Or possibly the Razorback Gyros ($5.95) made with beef and lamb smothered in barbecue sauce.<br><br>We also tried the 1/3pound Deluxe Cheeseburger, which comes with fries ($5.50). It was goodsize burger cooked to tender and juicy perfection. The fries were all right,ugg boots outlet, butseemed like an afterthought. Skinless and thick, several weren't cooked enough to get or stay crisp.<br><br>I've always been a fan of Spanakopita,ugg boots australia, the dish made with phyllo dough, spinach, cheese and eggs, so I tried the Spinach Roll ($3.50).
