Ask The Bagaholicboy #80 - Monogram Canvas Or Damier Ebene Neverfull? And Other Bits - BAGAHOLICBOY - SINGAPORE'S DEDICATED BAG, FASHION AND LUXURY BLOG
Ask The Bagaholicboy #80 - Monogram Canvas Or Damier Ebene Neverfull? And Other BitsDecember 28,Louis Vuitton Papillon 30 Brown, 2008 Q: Hi there! I am an ardent fan of your blog. I read it almost every other time and I must admit, you're more of a bag person than me! I have a question which I hope you can help me with. I am thinking of getting a Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM but should I go for the one in Monogram Canvas or Damier Ebene? I heard the one in Damier Ebene is coming end 2009 (for Singapore), which is a bit too long for me to wait. Alternatively I can get it now (from resellers) but I have to spend like SGD400 more. What say you? I also love the one in Fuchsia though, real christian louboutin outlet, too bad Louis Vuitton in Singapore is not bringing them in. Appreciate your reply!Ms HaeA: Dear Ms Hae,Christian Louboutin Altadama Patent Leather, thanks for your email. I will need to break my reply into 3 parts, so bear with me. Firstly, choosing between the the ones in Monogram Canvas or Damier Ebene really depends on your personal preference. I think both are equally good-looking, though I an slightly more biased towards the Damier Ebene version and its gorgeous interior in Red.Secondly rumour has it that Singapore will get the Damier Ebene Neverfull much later and getting it direct from either Japan or the States or paying more to local resellers here seems to be the more straightforward options. If I liked something enough, paying a little bit more would be reasonable if making the trip myself (or asking friends and colleagues) is out of the question.Lastly, by Fuchsia are you referring to the Graffiti Neverfull GM (which also comes in Orange and Lime)? It is coming to Singapore, with the release date set for 9 January 2009. Look out for it!Love, BagaholicboyImages: Louis Vuitton & ChuvanessAnd other bits:1. Crystal, from what I found out the Monogram Roses Neverfull only comes in MM, while the Graffiti Neverfull only in GM.2. Siew Kim, the 4 new colours for Monogram Vernis (Blue Galatic, Orange Sunset, Rose Pop and Vert Tonic) will be launched in Singapore on 1 January 2009, with the displays at all boutiques going up on 31 December 2008.3. John, the Muji Basque collection is now going for 50% off. Check it out.4. Bella, I don't think the Goyard Saint Louis GM would be a good choice for carrying text books. The thin shoulder straps are not meant for so much abuse. You are better off with your 2nd choice, the Longchamp Le Pliage Type Large instead, which retails for SGD185.
Update - Spring-Summer 2011 Mens Prada - BAGAHOLICBOY - SINGAPORE'S DEDICATED BAG, FASHION AND LUXURY BLOG
Update - Spring-Summer 2011 Mens PradaDecember 20, 2010 It is true what they say, that you never truly know something till you've seen it up-close for yourself. Sure, first impressions do count, but being a blogger, that's also based a lot on instinct and what one sees on screen, and having experienced the Spring-Summer 2011 Mens Prada collection for myself today, first impressions can sometimes be far from the truth. As far as the RTW goes, it is still a little hit-and-miss for me when worn as an entire outfit, but when you break them down there are gems to be found. Loads of v-neck tees, boat-neck sweaters, deconstructed jackets (sans shoulder pads and without any lining) and of those,Louis Vuitton Outlet Online, those colourful horizontally striped sweaters that have to be the signature RTW piece for their S/S11 mens collection. What I am truly crazy-nuts over all these shoes, multi-layered brogues in crazy colours that's all the rage for S/S11. I know for a fact that I'm definitely getting a pair, I just haven't decided which colour combination to go for yet.Plus they will be a boon for those men amongst us that are vertically-challenged (not that I personally need that extra boost); each pair will instantly add at least 2″ to your overall height, which really makes sense to spend SGD1360 a pair on them, don't you think? Ok, time to face my demons. I initially mentioned I wasn't too crazy about these totes, but here are some facts that need to be made public. Firstly, christian louboutin black pumps, they are not nylon, but thick pieces of distressed leather (also known as Nappa Antique), and though they might be on the small side, they are not light either, which attests to the amount of leather used for each piece.Retailing for SGD1970 each, they come without the letters, which can be customised to your alphabets of choice at an additional cost. Another runway piece making its debut on the retail shelves of Prada is this unusual drawstring waist bag, which can be worn over a belt. Mimicking pouches worn by construction crew, which hold all the essentials they need on site (or Hermione's magical pouch in Deathly Hallows), they will retail for SGD1010 each.As for me, it still is, and will be, all about the shoes. Select pieces from the collection (SLGs, ties) are already available at Prada ION Orchard and Paragon, with the rest scheduled for release in early January 2011.Images: PradaYOU SHOULD SEE: Spring-Summer 2011 Mens Prada
