I go out to eat all the time with my toddler. We have since he was a newborn. He is not into coloring much and I do not bring his toys. I bring him healthy snacks to tide him over until the food comes. I always carry raisins and crackers and that will usually entertain him until the food comes. He does not eat enough for his own meal, he eats off my plate since I can only eat half the food usually.
