Lenhartsville Pennsylvania Hikes
This is an awesome hike!! Hiked from the parking lot at the end of Reservoir Rd. up to the Pinnacle, across to the Pulpit and back to the parking lot. The full loop! It was 90+ degrees but didn't feel nearly that hot on the trail. I had my hiking poles along and in some places they proved pretty helpful, suprisingly they were most useful getting through some of the heavier boulder areas. I would do this hike again for certain! If you are in the area and have 4 hours, the views are worth the work to the top!
This is a fantastic hike! Park at the Reservoir Drive parking lot and follow the gravel path up to the small wooden bridge. After the bridge I suggest taking the immediate right into the woods (instead of continuing to follow the gravel path as the guide suggests). This will put you on the Appalachian Trail right away, and your first stop is UGG Classic Short Clearance still Pulpit Rock. (You can see this alternate trail as a dotted line in the trail guide associate with this hike.) I prefer the walk through the woods instead of on a road you do enough of that on the way down. You also get to climb a great wall of fallen rock if you go this way! (Easy climbing, more like large steps.) Also I can't stress enough how ROCKY this trail is. Women UGG UGG Classic Short 5825 Sand Boots Boots Clearance The entire way from Pulpit Rock to Pinnacle you are walking really pointed rocks which are packed into the trail. If you are wearing flimsy running sneakers, you will feel it in the arches of your feet before you're done. I highly suggest some hiking boots or some firm soled sneakers. Your feet will think you. And this is definitely a hike you'll want a camera on, the views from UGG Boots Clearance Sale Women the top is one of the best in PA!
