He allegedly began collecting monies for rice and had issued two ‘bounced cheques’.He was jailed in his absence on January 8, 2003 by Magistrate Krishendat Persaud at the No. 51 Magistrate’s Court for that offence.He was then arrested on January 17, 2011 after he slipped back into the country some eight years after and was jailed for the matter.
